Was a nice trail, plenty shaded. But we saw a mountain lion there so it wasn't that fun after all. We got really scared. Be careful.

Pretty blah. Nothing stood out. Hiked the loop. Brought a camera, but not much of interest. Pro: fair % of shady trail, lightly used, polite hikers and bikers, large meadow vistas Con: dry, scrappy, rocky trail (watch your step!), sparse wildlife (birds in particular), unimpressive "lake," no other water (not the right season), patchwork of different trails comprise the "loop," no wildflowers, the usual scrub flora: oak, madrone, etc.

I love the variation in terrain, scenery and frequent wildlife encounters. My favorite park.

Running

Did the loop counterclockwise, which meant single track-ish on the way up, fire road on the way down. Nice shady trails, healthy pitch on the way up but not too steep for running. Not so crowded, pretty good mask behavior. Watch out for bikes. Added a few miles out and back on the Two Quarry trail to make it 7ish.

Really enjoyed this trail. It has varied terrain and is shaded for most of the hike. It also has a flatter part of the hike in the middle which made for a nice stroll around the lake. There is a fee if you park inside the park, so be prepared with cash.

Great moderate hike, Fitbit clocked the route at 5.3 miles so not very off from the description. Will bring the kids next time.

Beautiful trail that covers a large sweep of Anadel with incredible meadow views and a nice loop around the lake. Free parking on the street near the trail head. The trail head isn't difficult to find if you use the map, but you do have to briefly walk through an area marked private property (Oakdale community) - cross a bridge and then you'll find the road that connects to the trail. I went on a weekday early afternoon and there were a good amount of bikers so imagine it could be heavily trafficked by mountain bikes on the weekends.

The first half of this trail is challenging if you do it by bike. A lot of Boulders and rock beds. We did it in Hardtails and we wished for full suspension. I walk my bike a lot during the first half (we did counterclockwise).

Beautiful hike with lots of variety. About half was shaded, the other half exposed. Lots of wildlife including flogs and deer.

It is a beautiful hike, but many bikes on the main trail. we got lost for a little bit because the rain has washed away some mud, and plants are thick. overall, it is a fun hike

Very nice lightly moderate trail. Not many birds, but lots of bikes on this Saturday, but all well trained in trail etiquette. Very relaxing.
