Such lovely weather for this today: sunny and 75, perfect visibility. At the top of the trail I could see Catalina Island and a strip of ocean in front of it. Took a double running stroller with my twin toddlers--there was a spot I had to turn around and bring it up the trail backwards over huge tree roots, and there were some deep cracks from the rain on the sandy trail that were tough to get over, but over all it was doable. There's a lot of uphill, but it was so fun.

Did in a rainy day because it was close. But the trail is in bad shape and rough from biking. Lots of bikes! Views nice. But graffiti and trash made it feel like bad urban.

This is a cool little loop around the perimeter of a residential development in the West Coyote Hills area of Fullerton. It contains a modest incline and is good for mountain biking, running or walking the dog. The Castlewood Trail is also part of the much larger Fullerton Loop.
