Short hike with up and down incline throughout . This trail is mostly for bikers and running . I wouldn’t recommended if you are looking for a good hike.

An okay hike. It’s clean and maintained but the mountain bikers come fast. I wish there were separate designated times for bikers and runners.

So many mountain bikes!! Hikers make sure you're aware if your surroundings, they don't always announce themselves!

HikingGreat!

*WARNING PEOPLE DO NOT WEAR MASKS HERE* Nice trail for solo or small groups. A lot of bikers so be aware. Small hills but they’re spread apart so easy to handle. See the more detailed description below for more info. I arrived at around 8:45am and there were tons of cars on Rosecrans but they were mostly going to the Ralph B. Clark Regional Park trail (that one is much more family friendly). There’s a lot more spaces closer to the trailhead so be patient and you’ll find a spot. Park near the cross walk because there’s only 1 within 0.5 miles. The trail is clearly marked and next to a fire station. Once you start the trail is easy to follow. If it splits into short paths they generally connect back together so don’t be afraid of getting lost. The main split (see my path) is a small trail that brings you to an upper level that is more immersed in nature or a wide loose dirt path. I chose the small trail to the left and I really enjoyed the feeling of being surrounded by trees and it’s not overgrown! There are a ton of small tree stumps though so be careful. After they connect back together it’s a wide dirt road and a couple of small hills until you reach the end. I crossed the street just to add some distance to my hike but the trail technically ends in the neighborhood before you cross the street. Don’t worry the end of the trail is clearly marked. Coming back I decided to take the main path but wished I had taken the small one because it’s more fun. If you’re coming for a run, I’d definitely suggest the main path because the small one has too many twists and bumps that are easy to roll your ankle on. There was plenty of shade on the first half of the hike and intermittent shade in the second half. Since it’s an out-and-back it was nice to end with some shade to cool off!

Excellent hike in the morning. Parking was a large issue due to free lot opening until past 7:30. Free parking close to trail head. Take Rosecrans past trail head and turn right at stop light. Park on this street, only difference is 0.5 miles.

I parked in the baseball field parking lot and walked to the trail head, next to the fire station. The trail does have uphill and downhill, and pretty wide to maintain some distance with other hikers. Most of the trail is along the backside of houses. My only main concern is there are a lot of bikers that don’t have courtesy bells to let people know that they are passing by. You have to listen carefully, especially on downhills, bikers will just zoom by really fast without any warning. Also about 90% of people I passed by didn’t even bother to wear masks.

Decent hike with light traffic on a Wednesday morning. Dog friendly. We parked in the adjacent park next to fire station #6 that allowed us easy access to the trail. Decent elevation climbs. Mostly dirt trails with some paved. Noting too difficult. The trail is plentiful of trees, dry bush, great views of the hills that intermingled with the surrounding houses. Despite one steep descending hill the trail is safe and good enough for all skill levels.

It's an ok trail. There's a lot of bikes passing by. It's a good hike but it's close to houses. It feels more like a walk around the neighborhood than a hike. The end of the hike before you turn you walking right next to the street and the cars. I was expecting to see birds but I didn't see any. Though it is a place were you can have your dogs I wouldn't recommend it just because of the amount of bikes that pass by and some are going fast. People dont really wear masks so if you can take your own.

It is a great trail, lots of bikes though so if hiking with kids make sure they are close by. the map displayed on here actually takes you through part of a smaller bike trail you can easily stay on the main trail by following the larger path, not the super narrow trail that diverts in the first mile. Both paths end up connecting but I think that is what people are referring to when they say that the trail is overgrown, as I had no issues with bushes/flowers/trees or any overgrown plants. The trail does end in a bit of an anticlimactic way, at the base of another trail that looks a little more intense, I was backpacking with my 3 year old and figured the 3.5 miles on this trail was long enough. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars from me was because of the bikes, with the downhills they end up coming pretty fast so careful on the way back.

This has to be my favorite of all of the trails that we have hiked so far. I really enjoyed this. It’s in a really nice area of Fullerton, and you get to see beautiful homes for part of it, It also takes you up pretty high. It’s not scary at all, just a little challenging for a newer hiker on some of those up hills. There are also a lot of mountain bikers that come whizzing by pretty fast so stay to the right and listen for them to alert you that they are coming. You definitely should not wear flip-flops. Do wear a nice hiking boot with a good grip on the bottom because you don’t want to slide when you’re coming down. Follow the trail all the way out to Gilbert and then AllTrails will alert you that you are “verified” on the trail....which I took that to mean that I could turn around and go back. It didn’t appear to go anywhere else anyway at that point. I would say definitely do not do this hike on a super hot day. We had a lovely day today with a lot of clouds and a wonderful breeze which was perfect for a nice hike. Overall,I would give this hike an A+ and I definitely look forward to coming back again.

I enjoyed this trail. It was nice and simple and some spots had great shade. There were also some benches halfway through to rest and take a water break at. The end of the trail leads out to the street and there isn’t much past Gilbert St. Easy and simple.

Trail was nice and easy. Mix of sun and shade. Lots of mountain bikers, so watch out. Good little views. Trail ends at the trailhead for another path.
