it's a good workout even though the whole trail in and is only almost 3 miles. Lot of rock climbing but it's well worth it at the end.

Pretty view of the lake. Not super difficult. Went on Monday and saw only a handful of people.

Nice hike numerous side trails easy to get lost but most end up at castle Rock. We continued up to Bluff Lake which is well worth the extra mile.

Great view. Well worth it. The trail we came down on on the west side was a little sketchy.

Fun trail but poorly marked. Rock scramble required to get all the way to the top.

Beautiful trail but there should be a category for moderate to hard! Definitely not a trail for sissies! Lots of side trails to throw you off. Initially the trail is well marked. Later not so much. Thankful for the many friendly hikers who pointed the way! The views were worth the trek. Being out in nature was exhilarating!

Took my 10 month old lab up to the top tower of the castle today. Great hike, uphill the whole way, don’t be intimidated by the initial incline. There are a few places where I had to help 45 pound puppy up and over rocks. Pup was wearing her booties with rubber bottoms today, I highly recommend some coverage for tender paws on this trail. Lots of large rocks and granite gravel. Intermittent shade in the forest, exposed on top. 70° and sunny. ** my recording is a little off, we went off trail for a bit, double checked all trails and discovered I wasn’t recording, started recording off trail on the way back down.

Great hike. Good moderate effort going up and down. The scramble was more difficult but doable for most.

First half to Castle Rock is pretty steep. Once you reach Castle Rick the views make it worthwhile.

This trail was so much fun! It was rocky and steep and exciting enough to be there for a few hours and still have so much to explore! There are also so many options to change up the trails and make your own! So much fun
