Another Mendocino Land Trust trail. This one is advertised as the southernmost Sitka spruce grove on the west coast. This gentle trail runs essentially parallel to the beach--begins at the beach and runs diagonally southeast through dense forest. The ocean and harbor seals can be heard all along this trail which transit a low ridge running basically southeast parallel to the beach. While there are a few brief ocean views most of the trail is in deep forest.

If you are staying near Caspar Beach RV park a must walk to take your dogs . Approx 1.92 easy mile walk .. Puppies are tired and ready for a nap after. You can then nap yourself or go town to eat /shop.

This is a nice quiet trail down by the sea shore. If you are able to appreciate a quiet walk in the woods just for the beauty of the forest this is a nice trail. It is nothing spectacular just secluded and quiet. The trail is up and down some but is really quite gentle. The initial climb is no more than 100 feet and then undulates for the entire length.
