Super easy . Definitely worth doing . Very short trail probably 30 to 45 minutes tops depending on how fast you walk or if you stop to take photos

Dog friendly trail. Sweeping views of the shoreline from certain spots. Easy access to beach trail below. Ok to have dogs off-leash on beach. Moderate interaction with others and dogs.

Here’s the ticket, follow this trail to a stairway down to another trail that runs south to a road and back to the old Spanish cross and the lagoon

This scenic trail is only a few miles from downtown Monterey. It faces Point Lobos to the west and Monterey peninsula and Pebble Beach to the north. And the north segment of the trail snakes along the Carmel river. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is too short.

You can walk the whole thing in less than an hour. If the surf isn't high it's nice to hang out in the small beaches. It's more a day at the beach than a hike.
