Wonderful rocks to climb and easy for all skill levels but too short for those looking for exercise and landscape views.

The second part of the loop doesn’t really exist. Super cool rock formations and bouldering though

Today was a rare opportunity to visit Joshua Tree after a snow storm. It’s as if a beautiful white blanket from heaven settled over the landscape!

This would be a good trail to take kids. Extremely well marked trail, and I believe you could roll a wheelchair along this one too if you have differently abled people with you and want to bring them. really cool views of the Joshua trees. Cute little hike.

This trail is very easy and very beautiful, a great combination. I’d recommend doing it to end a day in the park after a longer hike.

Very hard to find Cap Rock in the dark, but once the sun came up, we saw it and parked and got out of the car. My group was there to visit the Gram Parsons memorial, which was awesome. There was a guitar neck sticking out of the ground under the giant rock, and many offerings of alcohol and cigarettes and joints. We also found a geocache nearby with poems and letters to Gram, and added our own mementos to it. Sunrise is an amazing time to experience Joshua Tree, and the little diner outside the park was great too.

Quick, easy stroll along a highly manicured path. There are educational plaques along the way which help you appreciate why JTNP is so unique and spectacular. There are picnic tables at the parking lot but we chose one of several benches along the path to sit and eat our lunch, in view of Ryan Mountain. We got to see a couple of jackrabbits as a bonus! This seemed to be a popular area for rock climbers as well, both new and seasoned.

Actually I didn't find this rock like a cap. Not as interesting as many other rooks in this park. However, it's luck that we saw some people climbing the rock beside the trail. They are great!

This hike has a little bit of everything in the park. There are two Joshua trees guarding the trail at one point, which made for a fun photo. Bunnies and lizards crossed our path along the way. The rock cap was neat!

Great trail for young and old alike. It is wheelchair accessible, so parents with very young children in strollers can enjoy this scenic, easy walk. It has sign posts, along the way, that point out various desert features the average visitor may not be aware of. It is an excellent trail to see the monzogranite rock formations, for which the park is famous.

Visit here and you might miss the feature that gives this rock formation its name... Cap Rock. At the beginning of the trail, turn north and you will see it! Then complete the loop where there are several rest benches to relax, and enjoy the wonderful world of Joshua Tree!
