Beautiful serene trail, went early morning. Street parking. Be careful when navigating at the 2nd half mark, I almost went off the route and my 1 hour hike would've ended up being much longer. A great workout, wear good hiking shoes.
Definitely worked up a sweat on the hills, there’s about 3-4 steep areas, and the rest isn’t too bad. Lots of shade and occasional open areas. Great area to bring your dogs! There’s a great view of Mt.Diablo at the “top” of the trail. We went the wrong way a couple times, you’ll see that on my recording.
Killer hike up Camille but once get to Madrone level trail hike. Beautiful. Walked over to Jack London house. Great hike
Trail itself was ok, but creek at the bottom was the best part for my dog to play around in
This trail was so beautiful. The entrance with the eucalyptus trees was really gorgeous and we had some really good inclines plus the last half was a small sips trail that also crossed a stream. Can’t recommend enough. Was about 2 miles but could’ve gone a longer way
there is no parking at the trailhead. street parking might be tight during peak times. The main section of the trail is wide but the south section of the trail is narrow with loose footing. loads of birds
Watch for the loop trail junction to the left before the gate just before Eugene O’Neill pond and barn! It’s a smaller trail.
Perfect little trail for a quick midday workout. Lots of trails for biking up here as well:) Will definitely come back and explore more.
Warning: The directions will tell you to take a left down Camille Lane, a private road, as your last turn: DON’T turn. It’s narrow an there is nowhere to actually park. Park at the end of Camille ROAD right before that left turn (you’ll see other cars parked there). This was a nice shady trail, very challenging at times, with cows and cow droppings so watch your step and be mindful of the furry residents. :)
