Not a super exciting hike on the trail but it does have some really beautiful views. At one point we went off the trail where it looked like there was a path and were utterly surprised at what we found. I’ll post pictures because it was amazing! Mind you we did go off the path to get to the amazing part. The long coastal views and really neat rock formation pics were from this side venture we took!

Nice trail i did on an overcast day so the views were limited. The trail like much of the Ca Coastal Trail is an old roadbed which doesn't make it that enjoyable. There are still some views and it was a piece of the Coastal Trail I hadn't done. It also goes by a prison camp called Alder that is used for training prisoners to fight fires which is badly needed in our area now due to the Chetco Bar fire which is up to 100,000 acres.
