Hike along the Coastal Trail from the Cliff House at Lands End to the Golden Gate Bridge This section of the California Coastal Trail runs from the Cliff House near the Sutro Baths all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge and passes many landmarks including Baker Beach, the Seacliff area, Marshall Beach, and the Batteries to Bluffs Trail. This area of San Francisco is unknown to so many residents, even though it is one of the most beautiful areas in all of the Bay Area. You will walk along trails on the cliffs above the water where you can watch crashing waves, sailboats, and the occasional surfers, all while having perfect views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands across the bay--it's hard to beat. There are several small detours to small beaches along the trail as well, if you care to take a relaxing break. There are several points along the trail where you can leave the trail or turn back to make the hike shorter.

HikingGreat!

The hike was nice, bring food to snack on if you decide to go all the way to the bridge. Nice change of scenery walking through the Pacifc Heights Neighborhood and saw some beautiful homes. Nice walk on and view of the GG Bridge on Baker Beach. This whole hike was worth the effort.

Nature tripsGreat!

It was amazing. Passed through a neighborhood with beautiful houses and the beach. Was kind of a long back there and back to the parking lot. Definitely worth it!

Cute little trail, easily traveled, but heavily trafficked. Lots of people not wearing masks which was quite unsettling, all things considered, but was beautiful nonetheless.

Easy to find parking at both ends (Sutton Baths and GG welcome center) at 9am on NYE (Thursday). Really lovely walk through Lands End, and the walk through the ritzy neighborhood to connect trails was really cool. Narrow parts but mostly easy to pass people safely.

We had nice views all the way. Especially when we made our way back, the fog almost consumed the trail. Very mystical.. The only downside of this trail is that it's heavily trafficked with bikers and hikers.

This hike is a must do for every local and tourist. It's a combination of very well-groomed Trail, well-maintained stairs, Beach, and bluff with amazing view. I did this hike after walking the entire width of San Francisco on California Street. the sun set while I was on the trail. depending on your location, you may or not be able to see the sunset, but the colors are beautiful toward the Golden gate Bridge none the less.

Amazing views of the coast and Golden Gate Bridge. Sunny times under blue skies, detoured slightly to stroll Baker Beach. One section of trail was closed for repairs, detour routes through Lincoln Park Golf Course. Portion of the trail follows the sidewalk on El Camino Del Mar (past amazing mansions along the cliff). Trail ends at Golden Gate Bridge, definitely walk over the bridge, amazing views of San Francisco and the Bay!

Hike wasn’t too bad, a few sketchy areas but the end goal is really nice. Busy trail, and a few stairs. Just incase you looked past it ( I did) this is a POINT TO POINT trail.

HikingGreat!

I also crossed the Golden Gate and went back to Lands End which was 11 miles. This was a great hike. Very scenic. Free parking. I highly recommend it. But a week day would be less crowded.
