RunningGreat!

This is our go-to trail to walk as a family before school. We wanted a clean, safe area along the water to walk and that has become increasingly difficult as people have moved along the waterways. This trail is gated and in the few months we've used it we haven't come across anyone except others using the trail for exercise. The only major complaint is those walking dogs who leave their bags of poop all over. Path is along the levee with views of a Sailing Club, other passing boats, a variety of birds, and occasionally a seal or otter. The trail marked on here is 2.1 in each direction or you can go out the gate instead of turning back and make the loop around the block to the first gate. The distance is almost exactly the same. We use this as an alternative to change up the scenery. It's a nice well maintained neighborhood walk on the outside.

Parked near Buckey Cove Park and was able to walk in. The gate looked closed but is open. Nice walk along the water!

This trail is awful. Lots of glass and homeless everywhere. It is filthy and doesn’t feel like a safe place to ride.

Very Easy trail to walk, paved the whole way. It is Feb and there were geese and egrets in the water. It was fun for my Kids to see all the sailing ships at the sailing club. You walk along the water the whole trail. A few people were out but it was overall quiet.

Waste of time n gas to get there! Everything is locked up with no direction where to enter or even signs or postings if trail is closed. Definitely another disappointing thing about Stockton

This is a great little walking/ running trail. Took my dog out there and she loves it. Not too many people there during the winter (we saw maybe 5ppl), looks more like a summer getaway. On one side you have the river with some pretty neat boats to see on the other side of the levee you have some massive houses which are kind of cool to look at. You can either go out and back or make a loop if you go off trail and hit the bike path/ sidewalk.

I am so happy I found this on here! Its a beautiful and quiet trail. I walked it at sunset, the views of the boats and the Delta are very nice. I entered across the street from the elementary school through a turnstile. I will make this my regular trail going forward, its very nice. I recommend parking at Buckley and beginning the trail there, it would be a more rewarding walk back.

Trail looked so nice. However, the only reason I am giving this trail one star is because the door to walk into the trail was TINY! We aren’t very big people and it was a tight fit. Not to mention we brought our dogs who happen to be Great Danes that did not fit at all. Thumbs down!

Love this trail. Beautiful homes and boats are your views throughout the trail. You may also be lucky enough to see the seal that hangs out by the boats.

Super nice walk, path butts up to very nice homes and the delta. We'll definitely be taking this walk again. A note though, you DON'T have to park at the boat launch parking ($3). There is some parking along the street that's free.

First to Review

Nice hike along the Calaveras and San Joaquin Rivers. Nice views of the rivers, the marina and a yacht club and plenty of very nice houses and docks and boats. It's gated with a turnstile gate on both ends to keep bicycles out for some reason. I should have done it in a loop but didn't have a map and ran out of time... If you loop it the rest has bicycle access...
