Cal Barrel Road is a beautiful scenic road weaving through enormous redwood trees. You can also walk along this road if you'd like. The road is very narrow, so please watch out for other drivers/walkers. At the end of the road there is a small parking area, and the start of several trails.

Nice trail along an old logging road. Great views of tall trees and luscious ferns! Easy with a slight incline. My partner, our dog, and I all thought it was well worth the drive!

Did this hike with my dog after she was sworn in as a BARK Ranger. It’s dog friendly and pretty easy. It is also a scenic drive so there are cars. Most people drive slowly but there was 1 truck that sped down the road so be cautious. Beautiful part of the park.

Prairie Creek's largest tree, named Iluvatar, can be found from a trail near the 1st small parking space on Cal-barrel Rd. Absolutely awesome redwoods along this road. Highly recommend seeing the redwoods and hiking the trails found on Cal-Barrel Rd.

Did this with Foothills as a big loop back to Elk Prarie Campground. Amazing old growth trees and very quiet. Has just under 1000ft of elevation and a great half day trip

Rhody is an awesome trail and is one i'll do until i'm unable. What a great redwood loop! I'll be back with friends for sure...Awesome redwoods with a lot of redwood "caves" for lack of a better description. Many big, old growth trees down that you walk through along with some hollowed out trees as you will see in my pics. Highly recommend this one... With this one I've done every trail possible in Prairie Creek... but I'll simply do most of them again!
