A long day's hike through some beautiful redwood and mixed forest areas. A lengthy hike on a variety of terrain in a lesser-known trail in Pescadero Creek County Park. Park at the small lot on Wurr Road and enjoy the hike on Old Haul Road, then up and along Butano Ridge, then down again. It's a significant climb up to the ridge, but well-worth it for physically fit hikers. (Sorry, no bicycles allowed)

Was planning to do this hike with our dog, but, be warned, the info on this site that dogs on leash are allowed is incorrect. No dogs are allowed in Pescadero Creek County Park.

Couldn't believe we didn't see a soul using this beautiful trail after a mile in - on a Sunday afternoon. Remote and peaceful!

Really enjoyable trail with great views of the coast and hills. It seems more wild and remote than it is. There's a trail camp about half way (if you are doing this as a loop).
