Be aware gate at the fire road entrance was closed and locked. Over 5 mile hike to get to the trails head . Not bad but not what I had time for today. Disappointing.

Beautiful hike. Easy to get to the higher elevation and continue on to Powell lake.

Stunning views. Lots of switchbacks and elevation gain but trail is well marked and maintained.
