My wife and I decided to walk this trail since we were at Burney Falls which is where the Rim Trail begins. The trail starts out walking along a campground road and then before long turns into the trail. You can here the roar of Burney Creek from the Rim Trail and occasionally see Burney Creek which is probably 200 feet down. The trail winds through a forest with plenty of shade and ends at Burney Lake campground. We truly enjoyed the hike and should have taken more pictures.
