Lots of little trails off shoot from Burma. They all lead the same way. You’ll feel like you’re in a labyrinth but it’s all connected. I’m not sure if any one trail goes ALL the way down. Overall you COULD spend hours meandering but it can get boring. None of the trails are too hard it long. Recommend this area for days that are cooler and no clouds for view.

I pretty much ended walking all over the reserve, and didn't end up sticking to just one trail, but they are pretty well marked and easy to follow if you choose to do so. Stunning ocean views and a well-maintained trail make this the perfect walk in my book, but there's very little shade so make sure to bring plenty of water and sun protection. There were a fair number of people on the trails in this area (mostly wearing masks though). We also saw a rattle snake along this trail, so watch out--tis the szn!

This trail is inside the Portuguese Bend Reserve. There are plenty of signs at each junction and the overall trail is relatively clean. There are two portapottys about 1/2 into the hike. Since this trail is an out and back, you’ll have a gradual descent most of the way except near the end where there is a short climb. At the turn around point, there is a steep incline, short decline, then the gradual ascent back to the trailhead. Enjoy!

We were trying to make it out to the actual Portuguese bend but there were a lot of trail names that were all connected, so we got pretty confused. The views of the ocean and sky up toward the top of the trail was pretty nice. A little burn in my calves going back up though.

Amazing views. Would be more nice, if they had somewhere to sit, if you need a break or incase of an emergency. Lots of trails and dog friendly. Make sure to bring plenty of water and something healthy to snack on.

Good workout! Going out is all downhill and coming back is all uphill. Recommend water since it gets very warm and no shade. The trail is also very dusty. There was a lot of overgrown weeds so not much of a view except for the very start of the trail.

Views are easily as beautiful as Hawaii. Nice incline down and back up if you start near Crenshaw. Colorful flowers and an assortment of trees for shade. There is a port-o-potty on the trail.

Great trail when you want to get some quick elevation training in. Great views of Catalina on a clear day. The area has its own microclimate that can make it sunny when nearby areas are overcast. Can be hot on a sunny day so bring a couple bottles of water per person. Very popular trail. Parking is a nightmare on weekends and holidays unless you get there right at sunup.
