Great loop! Road closure added a bit of hills and distance for me, but overall pretty good round. If you have a choice wear LIGHT HIKING BOOTS! Sneakers are ok, but some sort of trekking or hiking boots would have served me better. Definitely would recommend doing this clockwise otherwise the decent could be hard on tired legs. Great views of the cities and all around the Hollywood sign

great views of the westside, downtown, and Burbank.

good views of the hollywood sign. a lot of cars though. I went counterclockwise and to go down after the wisdom tree was hard on my knees.

Easy to follow the trail. About 2/3 on roads and through neighborhoods. Some challenging rocky parts. Overall would recommend.

Great hike that includes a little outdoor hiking with beautiful scenery of houses. Recommend going through the neighborhood to see the houses.

Beautiful reward, but rest assured classifying THIS as medium difficulty (same classification as Fryman or Runyon) is NOT accurate. I see Wisdom Tree joke is separately classed as “hard” and that hike is a PART of this one, so prep accordingly. Definitely do the loop in the order shown here... coming down the steep bit from Wisdom Tree I cannot fathom unless a very experienced hiker. But the views. The views are definitely worth the angst.

Last bit of this hike is just walking on the streets in the Hollywood Hills. First half is great, steep with great views. A bit crowded though. Second half is just on the side of the road, it seemed like we missed something but we were just following the map. Would not really recommend, not even the best view of LA just gets you close to the Hollywood sign.

Did this hike with 2 kids aged 7 and 9. Little steep to start but they made it to the top and after Cahuenga peak it was all down hill. Hollywood lake park towards the end was a bonus for the kids.

The first 2/3 of the hike is great. The last bit isn’t quite as great, but still fun.

I really enjoyed this trail, not too difficult and you really get some amazing views. I highly recommend it if you are in shape since it can get very steep in some parts, and at some points you’ll be walking by cliffs. I don’t recommend bringing small children.

Good for experienced hikers. you will actually do some rock climbing and going down hill even get on your butt. Good hike over all, if you like hiking next to cliffs and rock climbing you will enjoy this.
