I passed it up the 1st time. Once I turned around I saw the trail across the street from the parking. It's a decent hike up to the paved trail and then it takes you on a loop and back down the way you went up. Beautiful view of DTLA and Dodgers Stadium. I found it doable and I have a bad knee.
