It’s a great hike I’ve hiked the loop a few different times in different directions. Like starting hike a between 4:30 & 5:00 AM at the bottom of the 173 at the locked white gate and head up to Bradford trail and returning on the PCT

The hot springs can be accessed from the Apple Valley side from private property where you pay and park less than 2 miles away. Do NOT park at Bowen Ranch, park at the camp property 1/2 mile past there for closer access & camping overnight. Their gate is open later than the ranch so you return later without being hassled.

We did this hike in 6 h and 10 min moving time. Stayed at the hot springs for an hour because it was really awesome but once we were about to leave, a bunch of people showed up. It's apparently a popular drinking place.. So plan on being there early if you want to enjoy it! We started with the hard part, Bradford Ridge, it was really just the last 20-30 minutes of it that was hard and very steep, and then followed the pct along the Mojave,(this was the easy part) it was a very beautiful hike and trail in good condition. Once we got to the dam, we didn't see the crossing over the river, it might be a bit before where we crossed so we waded in the ice cold River across! We took the service road back and it was a beautiful view the whole time. It got dark in the end but wasn't a big deal since we were on a road. Can highly recommend this hike! Count on 7-8 Hours depending on how long you stay at the springs and how much you plan on stopping

very fun, with beautiful views and scenery that you would never realize exist in the desert area. the last quarter mile of Bradford Ridge section is very sketchy make sure you have proper shoes. Children not advised, take plenty of food and water as this Loop can take upwards of 7 hours to complete. Not recommended in the summer.

Most amazing hike I have ever been on but also very life threatening! beware of the trail as it gets not even as wide as 1 foot. But I would take the risk again to see the beautiful deep creek hot springs.

Awesome hike!!! Lot's to see, best time for this hike is in the spring after a good rain. Lots of creeks and waterfalls. Mid week is good time to go to avoid other hikers and a lot of people at the Hot Springs.
