What makes it “moderate” is the 6miles but over all it’s a pretty easy trail with a beautiful view of the lake majority of the time

very nice walk around the lake lots of birds and great views of the lake and mountains I would rate it as easy,I guess the length makes it moderate, but it's nice and level for the most part,a combination of road, dirt road and trail recommend you take the short tree line trail on the south end for great views of the lake and mountains not much signage but you basically just walk around the lake

This was an easy but long hike! I spent most of my morning taking in the views around Puddingstone, and it was worth it. Not too crowded when you get to the actual trail parts of the loop on the north side either.

The trail ends through a residential trailer park and you feel like you’re encroaching on their privacy. Otherwise a good workout.

This is a great trail if you have kids. it’s level for the most part and is good if you want to train them to hike.

As other reviewers have said, the 'correct' path of this trail is VERY unclear. So go into it with the mindset of making your own path. I alternated between jogging on a dirt bike path and the road around the lake. There was shady areas for about a third of the way, and the views of the lakes were lovely. I was there on a Sunday morning, and there weren't very many people on the trail.

I would suggest going to the free parking at the east side of the park, near the airport. You only have to walk about a quarter mile to get to the main campground, and can avoid paying the $10 fee from other entrances.

Just about 1/2 of this is shaded and made the walk more pleasant. Views of the lake, lots of bird watching opportunities, wild flowers. Made for a beautiful day hike/walk activity

Clean trails and nice people. Just stay aware of the mountain bikers coming down the hills when you're on the trails.

Signs for trail were missing and was easy to get lost. Too many trails overlapping and hard to find but overall was a good hike.

Beautiful lake but it is hard to find out where all of the trails are. $10 to park and the girls at both entrances couldn't help me with directions

Fun loop, but poor signage. Ride solo or with friends for more fun.

Very beautiful trail

I absolutely hated this trail, it's so confusing, and there are no signs to guide you to the actual trail. It's easy to get lost. You'll end up walking through few parking lots by the park side and the lake if you don't know where you're going. It's disappointing to say that I wasted my morning.

Very nice hiking spot, I go here often with my family it's fairly easy and it is dog friendly. It's more of a popular hiking spot so you will come across a lot of people. I don't mind but if your looking for a secluded hiking spot I would go somewhere else. I do recommend going, it does has a pretty view looking over Bonelli lake.

It's confusing how to loop around the trail, otherwise, it's a very easy walk.

This was a pretty nice walk. lots of kids on bikes, moms with babies. family friendly. not much hiking, just some easy hills, but it looked good for mountain biking. I did the full loop at an easy jog, and was a decent workout. the reservoir made for a nice view.

I did the full suggested hike and it was more of a walk on trails and through parking lots. It's was great to just get out and go for a long walk. Bonelli park is beautiful and you can see raging waters.

Easy ride .. short hills scenic view

Fun walk. Took the dogs on a leash. Not the best marked trail, but easy enough to figure out. Shady spots all along the way.

Enjoyed this trail. It is more of a walk than hiking. Plenty of areas that are shaded and the trails are pretty much all leveled. No steep hills. Nice long trail with plenty of views.
