Great hike. Shady areas and some not so shady. But being outdoors in the splendor of the beauty of the mountains is amazing.

Started at around 4pm and struggled a bit in the beginning due to the heat. There was hardly anyone on the trail and had the entire trail to ourselves most of the way. Steady incline in the beginning and towards the end with some flatter spots in between. Google map says good for kids and not so sure about that. There’s steep drop-offs in some spots with loose gravel and definitely not easy. Overall a good hike.

It was a good hike but there were too many bugs and flies. The views were good but not all that spectacular. There was shade and a gradual incline all the way to the top. We went at around 9am and by the time we completed the hike it was around 90 F. I'd recommend doing the hike early as it gets really hot late morning.

Beautiful, so glad we went! Note: the trail to the actual peak isn't signed- watch instead for a rock-lined path on your right shortly after you pass the big PCT sign.

Great! 1/2 sun 1/2 shade, gentle smooth slope, nice flowers, great views from the top if you continue 1/2 mile extra. Easy to find a spot to rest in shade at the top. Some mosquitos.

Really loved the sights on this trail. I took my one year old and four year old and it was doable. The shade is very cooling. Didn’t go all the way to the campground due to the large swarm of flies. Sights are very beautiful. Might come back. It’s pretty popular as we saw groups of people coming down and going up.

Challenging hike with much elevation change! Skinny paths along the mountain side, so beware if you might be afraid of heights. Such gorgeous views though!! Very clean path and not a ton of people! Highly recommend. Lots of shade too!

Hiked solo with my dog on 5/02/20. It's a good climb, but I took my time photographing wildflowers. There was plentiful shade for Jed, and a fluffy grey squirrel or two to pique his interest. The top half is rockier and more off-camber than the lower half, so watch your step. The trail tops out at Mountain High's Discovery Chair and the Blue Ridge Campground. No biting bugs, but enough gnats to annoy- head net recommended.

Nice hike- started off cool with temp into the high 60’s but once you start moving you get pretty warm. Some steep areas and trail can narrow at points. Took a four and five year old - who were both successful. Overall took about 2.5 hours up and down with a nice scenic view on top where the ski lifts are.

You’ll get a nice little workout with this one! Going uphill was definitely the hardest part for me but going back to down is a piece of cake. Beautiful scenery all around!

Such a great work out! Went on 5/9 and there was virtually no snow on the path and no mud at all. It would be best in decent athletic shoes and shorts this weekend because the weather was perfect. You can get an adventure pass at most of the gas stations, we went ahead and got a seasonal one with an extra for only $5. We’ll def be back to do some of the surrounding hikes! Happy trails!

did this trail again this morning after attempting Table Rock across the road (too many bugs). 3rd time in 2 weeks for this trail. today was great as always. almost all the snow is gone, just a few patches left. there were bugs so we donned our bug nets. made it up to the top and enjoyed the peace and quiet. it's muddy and slippery in spots from the snow melt, so watch your footing.
