Trail head is very hard to find and hardly marked by a wooden post. The trail itself is very overgrown and vanished about a mile in. Required about a half mile of hiking off trail through the forest to reconnect higher up. Trail goes into steep rocky scramble to the peak. However, the peak provides amazing views of Coffee Creek and surrounding area as well as an outside view of the rest of the Trinity Alps. Would recommend for confident hikers looking for a relatively short outing.

Not recommended for access reasons, even though the written descriptions of the trail make it sound incredible. Access to trailhead is an adventure in itself. There was no trailhead signage from Highway 3, although Forest Road 38N34 had a sign. Immediately after turning onto 38N34 for the 3 mile drive to the trailhead, drivers would need to negotiate an extremely steep and rocky hill. Tried climbing that initial stretch of road on foot and gave up.
