Relatively easy trail with a few uneven spots. Nice lake view. It doesn't get a whole lot better than this in San Diego.

An afternoon hike with my girls and doggie. Hotter than we expected but as always it’s nice to be out on a trail. Nice easy hike.

Easy, nice view along the lakeside. Hear and see wild birds. Finished in one hour. Next time will bring binoculars.

Short and somewhat green, by lake, pleasant and easy. One section reminded me of "The Hobbit"

Enjoyed this walk. A little narrow with uneven, rocky ground in some areas, but a very enjoyable hike. Great hike for nature lovers and bird watchers. There were lots of people out on the trail with their cameras and binoculars.

Fun trail. Not overly challenging but great for kids

I love this trail. The grass is overgrown right now but in the winter it wasn’t. The grass is probably shoulder height. I love this trail because of the views and the slight challenge between dirt trail and rocks. Gives a little challenge in elevation. I get a little sweat on and feels like good exercise but not exhausted afterwards.

Part of this trail is really great but one section is rocky, steep and a bit risky for older folk. Bit narrow in spots and not easy to manuever. Overall though it is a great trail with just a bit of difficulty.

I took my son on this short ride and we both enjoyed the beautiful views. It sure is nice to see water in Lake Hodges!

Nice morning walk.

This trail has not been maintained since the heavy rains. There are very wide run off rutts in the trails and the wildflowers and bushes are all overgrown into the trail. The other side of the lake is much better.

Great trail for the family. I do not mind not having a shade because it’s outdoors and that’s what hiking is all about. It’s easy to find parking too. You get a good workout while enjoying nature.

This was a great little hike. Brought the family. There is not much shade so plan accordingly. The grass is really green right now and lots of flowers. Plenty of parking. Watch out for all the Mountain Bikers!

Pleasant easy short trail which goes by Lake Hodges. Lots of crisscrossing trails so watch your map to start on trail.
