Nice moderate hike through redwoods. Perfect in summer when ground isn’t muddy or when several creek crossings might have lots of water. Some elevation change. Be careful to stay on trail as we got off on other trails a couple times and had to double back. Enjoyable hike.

Absolutely beautiful!!!! A little narrow or muddy in places, but overall it’s gorgeous!!! Plenty of shade everywhere too.

Beautiful trail, several small stream crossings and lots of wildflowers this time of year. I like this trail better going clockwise. Start out on the well-marked Arcata Ridge trail going up and then you’ll join up with the Beith Creek Loop trail.

Lovely trail with some elevation gain, especially ‘cardiac hill’! So excited to find the most beautiful specimen of the Fetid Adder’s Tongue I’ve ever seen! Only drawback - not clearly marked & we had trouble finding our way out the first time. Spectacularly beautiful though!.

Very nice trail, had a couple small waterfalls and streams that you have to cross. Decent elevation gain! Trail is very well maintained, and has some benches along the way.

magical but not for the faint of heart. my toes got a little wet bc I didn't strategize how to cross a tiny minor creek. will have to choose between the right rocks to step on or leap across the whole expanse be careful don't slip! super fun! Beautiful mists and fog. don't dress too warm you will sweat

Beautiful little trail through a less traveled section of the Arcata Community Forest. A couple steep inclines will get your blood pumping.

Was an amazing trail with a great sunset overlook at the top of the mountain, but going back in pitch black was difficult because there’s like 50 different small trails and it’s easy to miss your exit

Pretty nice hike. Very representative of hiking in a redwood forest and not too long. We did this hike in a little over an hour and it’s moderately strenuous.

It was a good hike. There wasn't much of a view at the top and there was really only one hard hill while the rest was down hill. But man was that one hill a killer!
