13 mile hike from Dick’s Lake over Dick’s Pass, by Gilmore Lake and up to Mt. Tallac. Dick’s pass is worth a trip in and off itself with beautiful views north and south and, coming south on the trail, views of pyramid peak, Lake Aloha, Half Moon Lake, and Susie Lake. Climb up Mt. Tallac is very steep and exposed. Recommend bringing a filter to refill water at Gilmore Lake. Views from the top are definitely worth it, but there were lots of day trippers which spoiled our wilderness feeling a bit.
