The Coronado portion is short but gorgeous. Perfect way to take in the island. Many great photo opportunities on the trail with magnificent perspectives of the San Diego downtown skyline as a backdrop, or the historic Hotel Del Coronado and it's pretty beach. The Bayshore (or Silver Strand) Bikeway sets out from Coronado Ferry Landing and the Ferry Landing Marketplace. Bring your bike over on the San DiegoCoronado Ferry or rent one at the Bikes & Beyond shop. Head south along the palm tree-lined path past some upscale restaurants and trailside cafes. You can take in wonderful views of the downtown San Diego skyline as you skirt Tidelands Park, with its grassy fields and playground.

The first 1.5 mi is beautiful beach front. When you get to the golf course it gets a little boring and then you go into a residential areas which is even more boring. I’ll plan to come back on a longer run, 6 mi or so, to see if the trail heads back to the water.

Easy, flat, scenic urban hike/stroll of approximately 4.45 miles. Out and back starting at Coronado Golf Course, passing under the Coronado Bridge, skirting by Tidelands Park with its grassy fields and playgrounds, continuing along the palm tree-lined path passing the Coronado Marriott, the Coronado Ferry Landing Marketplace with magnificent views of the SD downtown skyline and ending at Centennial Park. One note, be mindful of bikes. After your stroll, sit for a spell with your favorite beverage at the outside patio of the newly renovated bar at the golf course. Nado!

Loop around the island. It is exactly what it sounds like. A nice stroll you can even bring a stroller.

This was a great walk with a nice view of downtown San Diego. The walkway is in great condition and easy to take your stroller on. Along the way you will see restaurants and the park. I went all the way to the end, where it gets to the street, but once you get to the turn that’s underneath the bridge, I think I would say it’s far enough. Unless you were on a bike or something. Overall if you’re looking for a nice beautiful walk, this is great. Most of the parking is metered, or you’ll have to get free parking inside the neighborhoods. There is no official parking lot at the start point.

You can begin this bike path at the Tide landing just to the right of the Coronado bridge once you come into Coronado .you can take this path to the west right to the ocean near the Hotel Del. A gorgeous path.

It's more of a stroll than a hike. The views are gorgeous and there are several spots that you can stop and swim at a little beach. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was heavily crowded. You can rent those bike carts that allow four passengers to pedal and the path was littered with them, and they rang the bell provided them and yelled and hollered at walkers and cyclists to move instead of sharing the road. Very annoying and aggressive at times. I think this would be a lovely sunset stroll.

Did this at night in the rain. Was super beautiful. Across the bay is you can see the San Diego downtown skyline all lit up.

Great place to walk with kids, rollerblade, or watch the water traffic. Playgrounds, restaurants, and the ferry are all along this paved path.

Trail is well-designated, took the ferry to Coronado and road around silverstrand into Chula Vista and back to embarcadero. Not all of the trail is all that scenic but it's a nice ride to take at least once to see many different areas of San Diego from Coronado to Chula Vista.

Walking this paved path provides you with wonderful views across the San Diego bay: the downtown skyline, the port of SD, the convention center, the naval shipyards, the Coronado Bay Bridge and more. The path is wide enough that sharing with other walkers and bikers is comfortable. Start your hike by riding the ferry from the Broadway Pier or Convention Center to the Coronado ferry landing and finish up at the Coronado Golf Course. As sightseeing walk go, it's hard to do much better than this hike.

Rented a four person bike and had a blast with the kids. Beautiful views of San Diego across the bay and the best view of downtown at night.
