The ocean view is beautiful. But it’s also almost hot now unless you go very early in the morning.

The second half is unremarkable if you go clockwise. Stick to the coastline.

People are stupid and not abiding by social distancing.

Recommend doing this trail on a nice day. The views are great for the most part, not too trafficked for a Monday morning (during COVID).

Paved trail all the way around, totally flat and quite scenic in parts. We happened to appreciate watching the small planes take off behind OAK (the kids especially!) and didn’t mind the jaunt alongside the office complexes. Views of SF and the bay are gorgeous. Nice starter trail! Finished in about 1 hour, taking a very leisurely pace on our cruiser bikes, hauling the kids. Minimal facilities en route and no place to buy food/drinks... so pack appropriately.

I did the equivalent of the bay farm island loop as out and back (3 miles out / 3 miles back. Finished close to 5:30 pm a little after sunset. 19-20 min mile speed walking mode.

*Harbor Bay Parkway / Shoreline Park* This flat, poorly shaded route basically follows Harbor Bay Parkway in between Oakland Airport and a golf course and then through an area of office buildings and is not particularly scenic (if you go clockwise from the Bay Farm Island Bridge off the 21 bus as I did). Aside from the frequent booms of airplanes lifting off directly overhead, there was also an airport helicopter noisily hovering around nearby throughout which spoilt the potential quietness of this part of Bay Farm Island. Apparently it used to be called Asparagus Island when it was an actual island - now it's all largely coastal grasses and strong old windswept trees that line the thin bayside Shoreline Park path rather than asparagus. There are also points where small sections of parkland open up beside the bay with picnic benches and toilets. The entire bayside path is overlooked by offices and houses—understandably, considering the beautiful, expansive views of San Francisco Bay and the Peninsula. The path heads east to the Bay Farm Island Bridge past a small open-air swimming pool and tennis courts (not sure if they're public or part of the nearby school). There are great views of downtown San Francisco from Bay Farm Island Bridge.

Easy fun run along the Oakland coast. Expect flat trails with beautiful sceneries of the entire Bay! One of my favorites!

Peaceful walk along the water for a couple )~2.8) miles. The remaining portion circles the Corsica golf course and airport, so it’s a little less peaceful but still nice. Starts at a location with a restroom which was nice, and the blooming flowers along the way were beautiful. Subtracted one for only because of the section walking through the corporate park which was just meh.

Great bike trip with the family. We brought a picnic along and it was so much fun. My daughter, 7.5 rode the whole loop with no problem. This was her longest ride ever. Yay.

Great easy ride. Start left after the bridge to go through the industrial side first. The last half will then be a great view of the city and water.

Beautiful view. A few water fountains near the bay farm ferry. Good road condition for running/biking. But have to cross three roads, all with signal lights.

Great protected pathway for walking, running and biking with excellent views of San Francisco. Paved with some stretches offering pavement and packed dirt. Texture is rough in many places and have to cross a few roads, but with crossing lights.

A nice flat walk with great views -- at least for the first half or so. If you do the whole loop counterclockwise the second half (ish) is a lot more industrial and less scenic.
