You'll have to wait until low tide to check out this ancient lighthouse! This is a fun excursion from Highway 101 to a very old lighthouse that you can only access at low tide when a land bridge emerges to the lighthouse island. Make sure you wear proper footwear as you may have to hop over driftwood and slick rocks to make it to the island.

Gorgeous scenery and wildlife.

Nice views of the ocean. The lighthouse is cool to see, but not much of a trail really.

Check tide schedule. Gift shop was closed and they were at low tide.

Easy walk out to see the cool littke light house. As others have mentioned check the tide chart before you go.

Nice little lighthouse, go at low tide, not much of a hike though just a little stroll down and up a small hill to a nice scenic overlook.

The real value is in the view and seeing a historic landmark.

Nice little walk with good views. Like others have said, come at low tide but if you do come during high tide there is also a jetty and pier near by to walk on as well.

We wandered out this way to check out the lighthouse but we caught it in high tide.

Not a hike or really much of a walk. But it is a point of interest in the area with awesome views of the coast line and Crescent City harbor. #268

Be sure to check the tide table. Can't get to the lighthouse at high tide
