Great trail, nice scenery with the lagoon. Flat and easy for kids. Flowers were blooming but was a bit muddy from the rain. Still very enjoyable.

Nice flat trail. Quick easy hike or run.

It was awesome! Fun little flat trail, my 16 month old son loved running the trail. Also the views are great! Took around an hour to complete

Great walk. Also good for running. Neat little conservatory at the end of the trail.

Nice, easy trail. Lots people but the trail width isn’t tight at all. Plenty of room for dogs and joggers to go past on either side. Good views, lots of plantlife and brush!

A 3 mile loop along the Batiquitos Lagoon that is great for walking, jogging, families, and dog lovers. Easy to get to from I-5, exit Poinsettia, take a right on Batiquitos, then a right on Gabbiano until it dead ends at the trailhead. Ample parking along the road. Super easy to get to, even for a brisk walk in the am or a leisurely stroll in the evening. A great escape to nature when you don’t have a lot of time to drive to a hiking destination outside the city.

3entrances/places to park. Have been going for 25 years. Not even sure if it was a trail then but I walked all over those hills that beautiful houses are on now. The only time over the years that I felt a little uncomfortable was when there were a group of bird watchers and my dog was off leash. My bad. And once again when my dog was off leash he went onto the golf course the trail is next to. Everyone was friendly. I believe the off leash law is more enforced now so no more of that. Love it!

One of the prettier nearby hikes. Worth it for an easy family stroll. Not a big fan of seeing the 5 FWY through most of it. But I suppose there is something interesting about watching the hustle of the world go by while you stroll along the waters edge.

Nice walk with a breeze. Great for a beginner like me to just get out and enjoy the beautiful views and get some exercise. Saw dogs and people of all ages too.

I would recommend this trail for anyone with kids or looking for a nice, level walk. Our kids really enjoyed all of the small lizards sunning themselves. The west half of the trail has good shade but not the east half where we saw more lizards. It was an extra special treat that the Nature Center at the west end of the trail was open with kids activities and had a raptor talk when we arrived with various live hawks, a peregrine falcon, and a couple owls.
