Beautiful with plenty of trails/options. Not for little kids and wear good hiking shoes as some places are rocky/steep.

Very difficult in some areas. Had to scramble down lots of rocky areas and climb up steep rocky hills. Lots of pretty lookouts though! In the middle of the trail you take a steep rocky decline then immediately have to go right back up a rocky incline. It felt like torture. It took me forever to make it through because there was lots of difficult rated trails when I thought it was a moderate ridge walking trail but it’s actually really challenging. I cried, almost puked, and it got dark on us but I’m alive! I was only motivated to keep going because it was getting dark and I didn’t want to die.

Some spots on this trail are fairly narrow, which makes it difficult when there are a lot of mountain bikers coming around blind corners. There is no shade but overall lots of options as far as trails go. I just wish all the dog owners would pick up the dogs poop.

Great short after work hike. Takes really no time but it is very scenic and has enough elevation gain to work up a bit of a sweat. Frequented heavily by mountain bikers so be on the look out when you are with dogs and small children. Also plenty of trail runners but they’re not a problem. I will say that the signage was a bit confusing because though all the trail is accessible and there are loads of people on it, there are numerous signs saying no trespassing and private property. My guess is that it has something to do with Irvine Park and you are kind of taking the freebie way in. Regardless it seems like you are not going to be stopped because you can point to everyone else on the trail.

this trail is heavily used by mtn bike. narrow, and hidden corners and steep incline. = fast bikes, no warning. NOT good for dogs, no where to step off when bikes come racing down.
