Was a nice mix of hiking and surface street travel. The end of the trail is missing and have to slide down a mountain to get back down to start of loop.

Unable to find the connection from maple canyon to get to Curlew, otherwise was a nice walk.

It was cool to go over Quince St and Spruce St bridges. Last part of trail at Curfew is overgrown so I would go back to 1st street and take the trail back

The end of the trail is not a real walkway or path. We had to walk down the side of the canyon to get back to the starting point. Otherwise, it was a great walk!

On the 27th of May 2019 with Pierce. Turned out to be a beautiful day and were surprised at the nice trail under the bridge. So many pretty orange and yellow flowers different than the ones I’ve been seeing on other trails. Definitely a good place to do a run if you live in the area.

Pretty flowers and cool bridges. It takes you over Spruce St. bridge which is always a favorite. End of this trail takes you down an overgrown single track trail that is a bit hard to find. Nice hike overall.

Maybe it’s the time of year, but the last bit of of the walk (going down the canyon from a street back to the trailhead) was almost impossible because of all the overgrowth - the trail was not clearly defined. Otherwise a lovely walk through a historic neighborhood.

Fun chili run through a mix of trails and streets. I turned it into a 3 mile run by going up to Balboa Park and turning around

nice stroll with great views of houses in an area you would usually not go through. I recommend for families and dog walks

Great views, I don’t give it 5 stars because it’s not marked at all, you need to use the app, otherwise you get lost. There are too many gated properties downhill and it’s hard to find you way back.

Nice views. There’s a hill coming up the canyon and another hill coming down but other than that it’s a nice and easy walk. FYI, we walked with our dogs here but encountered three other dogs all off leash. My dog is dog reactive and we weren’t happy about this. There are signs that dogs must be leashed but rules aren’t followed here.

Great hike with my dog and SO. Beautiful day and nice sunny and shady spots. First part is slightly uphill and in nature with beautiful wild flowers and cacti blooming. The bridges are a nice treat as well as the unique homes along the way. Would hike it again! Note: I did see one needle cap near canyon exit so I would beware and not let kids or dogs loose around here.

Not so much a trail as a walking tour of the older San Diego houses of Banker's Hill. The highlights are the Quince St trestle bridge and the Spruce St. suspension bridge. To add actual trail to your trip, start at the end of Maple St. near Little Italy. Head up Maple Canyon and when done with Banker's Hill head back down 1st Ave to Laurel St. & Little Italy.
