This hike was great. You start off going down about a half a mile then begin a gradual ascent. You'll reach a high point, then begin a descent. At the beginning of that descent, there's a pretty killer view. There's nothing really to see after that view, despite there being about another mile left in the trail (and since there's no loop, another mile back up). If you do continue descending, you'll reach a fork in the road which you can see on the map (end of the red line). The sign only points out one of the paths ("end of trail, .6mi") and back uphill. The unnamed route leads to an open space preserve, which is off limits. My advice: don't take the .6 miles to the end of the trail. There's nothing to see there except a small wooden post with a sign that says "end of trail." Not very rewarding! Aside from that, the views near the top are pretty spectacular!
