Very pleasant and easy walk with lots of shade. Beautiful views of the lake, up close, throughout the whole walk. Easy access down to the water. We took our time with photos and sitting to enjoy the peace. We did it in 3 hours.

A couple areas where we needed to watch out for footing. We enjoyed the break from a long drive up from eureka, wonderful to see the lake up close and stick out feet in in the water

this walk would have been nice years ago when shasta was full and lush. when I went out yesterday it was very dry and dull. the walk is very easy if that's what your looking for its for you but not much to look at.

Easy, level loop along Lake Shasta. Quite a bit of shade for the warmer days. Great views. 2 minute drive off highway 5. Take the "Shasta Caverns" exit about 10 minutes north of Redding. Stay to the right down to the boat launch and look for the trail head signs at the end of the parking lot. 1 hour hike at a leisure pace.
