This trail goes up Bailey Canyon, then across the ridge to Mount Hoffman. From there you can clearly see the Mont Wilson road and a small trail heading over to the road. You will need to scramble up the ridge to reach the Mount Wilson road. Turn right and head east once on the Mount Wilson road until you reach the junction with the Mount Wilson Trail. Follow that down towards Sierra Madre past the junction with the Winter Creek trail and on past Orchard Flat until you reach the sign for the trail leading back up and over the ridge to return to Bailey Canyon, then head back down Bailey Canyon to starting point.

Great hike. Very difficult. Would do it again. However not in the heat of the day.
