Loved it! It was a butt kicker. Be prepared to climb. Did this as a day hike. Almost regretted it. Once you get half way, you still have almost 3,000 ft to climb because you are stupid enough to climb those 3,000 ft down to Roaring River. Ultimately, it was a great hike. Sphinx Rock was a nice sight. Probably will do start this one again one day just to climb the Sphinx. Plenty of water to recharge for drinking supply. If you try to do this completely as a day hike, leave early. The first 2+ miles are flat, so using a headlamp was perfectly fine. Once you've completed the hike, 100+ yards from the parking lot at Road's End is Muir Rock. Take a towel and a change of clothes. Jump off Muir Rock into a pool in the river below. Quite refreshing! Enjoy!
