Poop. Lots of poop. No shade. Nice flowers. Good views.

A minefield of dog poop. Hard to enjoy the scenery when you constantly have to watch your footing to avoid taking the worst part of the trail back to your home.

Dog poop. Dog poop everywhere. These people don’t even attempt to pick up after their dogs.

Chill trail, some spots with a moderate incline. Good morning hike, no shade for most of the trail. Saw a couple of small rabbits on the trail. Good for beginners.

Not much shade. A lot of uphill/downhill walking.

Snakes at Ascot? maybe, but the tiny ones, coyotes yes but they stay away from humans. carry a stick if you are hiking early in the morning and alone though.

I like this trail but be careful I saw two snakes in different places. Mostly along the fence of the uphills sections. ( the V section)

Recommend for dog owners. It’s moderate, going uphill a lot. Nice green grass over the hills, little wild life if there’s people. Plenty of parking. Bring lots of water. You can see the city above in the hills. People don’t clean after their pets though.

My favorite trail in the DTLA area. Completely empty during the hotter months and at midday, busy during the afternoons and evenings. 4-5 miles of trail if you hit everything or do the main loop twice.

Great for sunrise hiking! Wonderful views of the city and the surrounding neighborhoods. No shade but has some picnic tables to recap and recover. Thanks AllTrails!

Nice place for a quick workout in the city. Great for kids and beginners, with different options for steepness, and impossible to get lost. Good views of DTLA, the SGV, and the San Gabriel Mountains from the top.

Go-to park for short hikes with great views of LA, especially at sunset. There are lots of wild flowers and good chance of spotting wildlife (rabbits, birds, etc.). The trails have some steep hills for anyone looking for a nice workout. There is plenty of free parking, clean bathrooms, water fountain and shaded picnic tables.

Easy trail for the whole family. Brought my 5-year-old stepson and he had a blast checking out the snake holes (didn't spot any snakes, though). The initial incline for the main portion of the trail is very steep but not terribly long, & it's paved to the top. We veered off to the left instead of coming off the other side of the hill, and met up with the main trail around the side of the hill. Stopped near the power line summit for a snack, then hiked back down a different trail to the parking lot. Plenty of parking, bathrooms, and picnicking areas at the entrance.

I got a nice workout at this location today. If you hike up the west side of the hill to the back and decide to follow the trail down alongside the fence be very careful. It’s very steep. But doable.

Trail was okay. Completed 4.4 miles. You will see some wildlife in terms of lizards and rats. Nice view of the city. There are two different routes. One is a loop trail the other is an up and back. The loop for has a very steep hill so If you go that route make sure you have water

I recently went with my 5 year old daughter. The hike was amazing but there were snakes at every turn! I would go again but this time without my daughter.
