Beautiful, scenic drive. Try to go close to sundown, as the sunset really makes the colors pop.

Hike it. Get lost and find your way out. If you are a wannabe take photos and you are good. If you are real go hike every direction, day and night. It’s a different planet inside your own planet!

1/2021. It’s a nice overview but I think it’s better to go to the next stop on scenic drive where you can play on the hills. The overview was really cold and windy today which made it difficult to enjoy (the wind was actually pushing you).

Easy accessible trail with a view. The colors get better as you drive down the scenic route.

HikingGreat!

Not much of a trail but just a walk to see rocks that resemble Neapolitan Ice-cream. Fun for a one time visit. *This is part of a scenic drive! Don't follow the crowd and stop at very first view point, nothing special, keep driving! Look for the SIGN for parking at Artist Pallet, about a mile drive in.

The first stop is actually not the Overlook. The 2nd stop is and looks better and fewer people. You should keep driving to the point that has a bathroom. Better view in there and fewer people too. That is the official site. The drive itself is really nice. Two or 3 short stops. Not much walking needed. Maybe the first point but it's very short.

Nice driving trail, with 2 pull offs to see the colorful mountains, this is the first trail. Honestly, I think the 2nd pull off is cooler than this trail, since you can hike into the wash and hills. This trail is uphill on gravel. The mountains are very colorful.

It’s an easy trail with great views of the pallet. It happened to be raining when we went which washed out most of the color, but when we came back later after the sky cleared the colors were really vivid.

Beautiful! I’m sure the colors are brighter at certain times of day than others, but this place was beautiful! Not much of a “hike”, more just wandering around the colored areas.

Don’t listen to negative Nancy below me. Created by many volcanic eruptions in the same spot, you cannot get these colors anywhere else. There are a lot of fun trails here as well. This is only accessible from the scenic drive and may take an hour or two of your time at Death Valley.
