Excellent little day walk. The view from the cliffs is perfect and the water, with its greens and blues, was truly breathtaking. Plenty of cute doggos to brighten the day. Lots of foot traffic but the trail is wide enough to make room. The weather was perfect this afternoon. 10/10 would recommend.

The hike was nice and easy. It seemed like the elevation of the trail stayed pretty much the same. There were quite a few overlooks of the ocean. the water was blue and clear enough to see the bottom. Lots of dogs. It was a fun hike.

This is a perfect little hike around sunset! Amazing views and great spots to sit and watch the sunset. This hike is super easy and really isn’t even a hike, just more of a walk on a dirt path.

A stunning walk. I went around twilight and was amazed at the sheer magnitude of the ocean. Wind and waves meeting the cliffs, it was beautiful.

WalkingNo shade

Super dog friendly, beautiful sunrise or sunset views and not hard or steep at all. Shouldn't take more than about 30minutes to do, unless you get caught up taking a million sunrise/sunset pictures. Not shaded at all and lots of dirt is the only downside.

One of the most beautiful experiences in nature I have had. between being with my roommates, and just being outdoors for the first time in a while, and everything else, it was a perfect morning. I connected to this trail. oh also there were SO MANY DOGS!

More of a walk then a hike but still great. For the majority of the walk you have a view of the ocean and there are multiple trails to walk down, so I’m covered with trees.

Don’t walk fast. This is a slow walk with beautiful views. People rating this less than a 5 are spoiled lol.

Nice easy walk. Starting from the parking lot, head the opposite direction of The Boathouse. Go up the trail on a slight incline to Douglass Preserve. Complete the loop and head through the neighborhood to thousand steps. Go down the steps (make sure it isn’t low tide!) and walk on Hendry’s beach back to the parking lot.

Walking

Fun easy walk with beautiful views of the ocean. Dogs can be off leash in most of the park. Then we headed down on a trail to the beach. Turn left and it’s a dog beach-off leash and you can walk for miles. Few people once past first .5. A winner!

Beautiful cliff views, easy walk, but not for people easily frightened or knocked down by dogs - most dogs are off-leash. To increase cardio intensity, go down and back up the steep beach access trail on the North/Mountain side of the property. If you keep walking at the bottom you can reach public bathrooms, the Boathouse Restaurant, and the Pacific Ocean where there’s yet another off-leash area for dogs.
