I was pleasantly surprised at how pretty and well-kept this trail was. Perfect for an easy hike or trail run with some nice undulations and extra paths to explore and get your heart rate up. The golf course is pretty to look at, and there was a nice balance of natural landscape and usable space. Parking was easy and accessible. I did have to look at the AllTrails map for the actual trailhead as it wasn’t signposted well, though the path was very clear all the way once I found it. I started at the Nature Center parking lot end, and took the trail anti clockwise. There was the option to add on some of the nature reserve on the end if I had wanted to, but 3 miles was enough for me today. I saw a lot of wildlife: wild turkeys, squirrels, butterflies, birds, including what I thought was a heron or stork flying near the river. This was a super fun jaunt with many picturesque moments. Perfect for what it is, as a semi-urban nature reserve.
