Took the family out on the trail yesterday. The trail is mostly packed dirt, so might be a bumpy ride for a street bike. It's flat and the bay breeze kept us cool in spite of the lack of shade. Part of the trail is sectioned off as "closed for maintenance", but we went through anyway.

Great flat walk, no shade at all. Can get really hot if it’s sunny or middle of day. Best to start in morning. A lot of bikers and some walkers.

Nice scenery to enjoy as you ride and generally not crowded. Not a real technical trail but you can encounter a few spots with larger size rocks to avoid. Overall a nice place for a quick hot lap after work.

This is a great flat trail for beginners or anyone who just wants a long walk. There is lots of wildlife and the scenery is gorgeous! However, it looks like there is some construction and development on one part of the trail, hopefully that will be finished soon!

This is a great place to go birding, for a stroll, or for a bike ride!

Flat trail that is good for someone trying to get their endurance back from a long time away from the bike or beginners. It’s in the bay so it smells like fish. Not much to look. Came on Sunday after 1 pm and there was very little traffic on the trail.

Level and easy. Great pick for a rest day or when you need a trail for a longer run.

Perfect loop for running/ biking. Started my long run at around 1pm and finished the loop in just over an hour. Although it was a bit hot, great time for running for someone who don't mind a little sun tan. So easy to track your progress with this 8.8 mile loop. Will be back soon.

Pretty flat trail, but great place for bird watching. Try not to go after rainy days... the mud sticks pretty thick to your shoes and continues to accumulate until you have mud heels and need to scrape it off.

The side along the Amtrak rail was smelly. But the view was nice after we walked past the rail area. It was very sunny but the wind felt pretty nice. It was a good, long walk.

Wonderful place to disconnect and enjoy wide open scenic views of the salt ponds and wild birds.

don't go when it's hot. no shade anywhere. if you walk around right there are signs everywhere that say the area is closed. but if you go left from the parking lot there are no signs at all. bring lots of water.no places to rest or go to the bathroom except at the parking lot.. it's about a good 4 mile walk if you follow the circle.

Muddy... Also, didn't know that it would be hunting season until the end of the month...I was startled when two men shot at some birds flying by. I was surprised as to how close they were allowed to be to the pedestrian path... Those bullets have got to come down at some point:(
