Nice scenic running trail with easy grades. Has both paved and hard dirt on sides for about 80% of the distance. Can get hot with not a lot of shade.

Really enjoyed this hike! Nice walk with some small inclines followed by flat sections. We got a nice 4 mile hike in!

Very nice trail that we started in Lake Forest near Saddleback church on El Toro road. Gradual hill towards the canyons and downhill away from the canyons. Nice views with trees and some creeks. Also went thru a few neighborhoods. Ended at Cook’s Corner - biker place. Definitely family friendly.

There are multiple entry points and sections to the overall trail. The section which starts in Aliso Viejo at the South entrance to Wood Canyon and then goes North to Sheep Hills Park is exactly 10k. This is a straight forward 10K run on relatively flat terrain. Starting from the South Wood Canyon entrance the path is a very low uphill grade to Sheep Hills Park. At the "top" you can turn around and with the very low downhill grade have a nice negative split. The 10K distance is an out and back route.
