Drops down to canyon then takes you up to the Alice Eastwood picnic area, then back the way you came. Great workout.

Liked this hike a lot. Almost entirely shaded. Starts going down then you hike back up. I found it easy going down but I was pooped going back up all those stairs! Second half of the hike (after bridge) leads you to a restroom and little campsite for a picnic. Might skip that bit next time - although the hike there was pretty.

Great trail, some noticeable elevation changes and rocky areas. If you want to do this hike fast then I would suggest mid-high boots if they don’t bother you.

Nice trail. Started at Muir Woods & eventually connected to this trail on my way to Stinson Beach. Took Matt Davis Trail back up to Pan Tol Ranger Station & shuttle bus to get me back to SF

Great shorter hike for a great workout. Beautiful vista views mixed with heavily wooded areas and clearings. This is a paved road. Took us 1 hour round trip.
