Pretty trail but to much on the fire road. On the west side trail, there is a creek running alongside just to the east . Just east of that is a better path through the woods!

Most beautiful of 16 trails I’ve hiked so far! Lots of shade first half, hiking counterclockwise, and some mud this morning.

Nice loop through Briones, with a combination of shaded areas and open trail. Path is pretty wide with gravel and dirt, and used by horses and bikes as well. Great view of Mt. Diablo at the top and grassy scenery. Took about 45 minutes to do the loop. Parking lot closes at 6 pm.

We did the Alhambra Creek trail which turned into the Diablo View trail. Very mild, not much elevation change. Beautiful rolling hills, woodsy dirt paths, crooked trees with small off trails. No shortage of cattle grazing but they don’t mind humans at all (just don’t approach). Very dog friendly - just don’t forget to take your poop bags out with you. Finished the whole trail but forgot to press restart on the recording after a brief drone break.

Pretty exposed to sunlight, although there are some spots you can stop for shade. Steep slopes at parts. Dirt trails, sometimes wide, sometimes narrow. Quiet at parts.

This was a great trail I recommend you do it clockwise as you’ll get the hotter part of the hike out of the way earlier. The views are spectacular.

Open space trail located in a residential area. The trail entrance is in an uphill circle of 3 houses with limited parking but when I went at 7 pm it wasn’t hard to find a spot in front of one of the houses. Once on the trail, we walked toward the right up the hill over looking beautiful mt Diablo. There was a bit of horse droppings but it’s to be expected in a grassing open space like this. Looks like there’s a couple different trails that offer more shaded areas so it seems worth coming back sometime to explore the hills more.

I got poison oak 5/23/19 on this trail. be mindful if you take the creek path that parallels the road.

Nice easy trail that can easily be made more challenging due to an abundance of intersecting trails. Good mix of sun and shade. Was still some water and lots of wild flowers. Hills are just changing from green to gold.
