This is a GREAT place for an easy casual stroll through the fields and trees! Highly recommended for people of all ages. Suggestions: Begin on the trail to the right of the restrooms in the parking area. It looks like there are two trails, take the one to the right. Follow it all the way down around the barn, through the trees, and up to the lake. Just past the lake you can choose to return to the parking lot (left) or on to a less developed trail (right) that goes up a pretty a stiff hill before it swings back to the parking lot.

I had a GREAT time hiking the Ahwahnee Hills Regional Park loop trail! 3.5 miles, 1 1/2 hours, 350 feet elevation gain, Oak Trees, Bridges, a Lake, lots of Bathrooms, joggers, a barn, and history everywhere!

Ridden as horse trail. Some trails are well marked and others are not. Still a work in progress - great community park.

The trailhead and parking area is very sketchy. However the trail itself and the bathrooms are very well maintained. The trail itself, if you start to the right, is fairly easy except for a slight incline toward the end. We were looking for somewhere to hike that’s close to our Airbnb in Mariposa, and it was just okay.

I live close by and hike regularly for exercise. It’s is quite lovely with a nice pond and wide trails that are easy to follow. It should be noted that there are hidden cameras in the park as they are making sure people follow the rules as far as keeping dogs on leashes, no fishing in ponds, no bikes allowed, etc.. I have been walking there for several years with my dog and it’s quite peaceful and a great place to get some exercise.

Easy trail for the kids and the dogs. Shady spots to rest and a creek for the dogs to cool off and get a drink.

This was a great trail to walk with my dog. It had a few small hills and plenty of flat walking. Really enjoyed the small stream and the lake.

I cannot review as it is closed on Tuesdays (also Mondays, can't remember if it is open or closed on Sundays).

It was a great trail. Easy for my 6 year old to handle. I wouldn't bring my dog only because I could see him getting full of stickers.

Very easy trail with pedestrian and horse routes. We only made it maybe 3/4 of a mile before turning back because stickers kept getting in my dog's paws, though. It was quite pretty with plenty of places to sit and have a picnic. If I lived in the area I'd definitely make more use of it! Just without the pup.

This is a nice regional park near Ahwahnee Calif. Though it is listed as wheelchair friendly, only a portion of the loop is ADA compliant. There is handicap parking at the main parking area and near the lake. The south portion of the loop is mostly open meadow with some beautiful old oak trees, and mostly flat terrain. On the north portion there is some climbing, but most people can easily handle it. At the upper end there are several view points with nice views of the valley. My wife and I like to do this trail when we feel like an easy, laid back hike that doesn't require a long drive to other, more senic trails in the area.
