Enjoyable hike. With the recent rain and snow (winter months) there was a fair amount of water on the middle bend; just a little pond. Going is pretty easy, all down hill. Coming is uphill, but not steep at all. Take your time and enjoy the scenery. The open planes are always nice to see when hiking this particular area of Laguna.
Starts off with a decent run. However becomes more of a bike trail and very difficult to stay a running trail. If you are hiking or riding a bike, it's nice but for running, it has a lot of obstacles.
nice hike

Awesome hike in the snow/rain. Wear waterproof boots FYI
Nice short loop (about 2 miles) and relatively flat.
Very beautiful hike year-round. In the winter there will be snow, in the spring it can be very green (if it's been a wetter winter), and even in the summer when the grasses have dried it's still pretty with the golden color on the ground and the green pines.
It's a fairly easy hike with a couple of spots with great views across the range. Even though you start out at the road, in not too long you are in dense enough trees that it's quiet and very beautiful. See my profile and my track for a much more detailed review and photos!
