A very simple out and back. Not worth the trip unless you’re going to do river things. I walked back via the road just to change it up and it’s a very short walk, albeit rather dangerous on the narrow shoulder on a windy road. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

The trail is nice, but there are lots of ticks. So be cautious.

A beautiful trail with hidden views, awesome wildflowers, cascading water and a lovely serene meadow. All with a few miles. A great hike with just s little steepness. A few bikes but not too bad.

This is an OK trail. It’s the opposite side of Skunk Hallow so if you hike Skunk Hallow then you’ll be essentially hiking Acorn Creek too. If you only want to do half (2.5 miles) I recommend leaving one car at the Skunk Hallow parking lot and another at the Acorn Creek side. Bonus: There is no fee to park at the Acorn Creek side :) round trip (from Acorn Creek to Skunk Hallow) is 5 miles.

I really like this trial. It is very narrow at the trailhead for about 300-400 feet but then opens up wide enough to let bikers safely pass. Some good views but a lot of time the brush is too high to see much. I really appreciate the fact that once you get in a ways the quite is wonderful, no traffic noise or party noise from the river which is nice. Is it the most scenic hike, no but it is still a well maintained trail with long areas of shade and a great work out as some of the uphills make you work if you push yourself.

Very beautiful. Many wildflowers and lots of greenery and lovely oak groves. The path starts out wide and then narrows. Be cautious for ticks and poison oak - the grasses are tall and it'd be hard to keep a dog away from them. There is some easy creek crossing over rocks and lots of shade up until you get to the south side (after the gate). After the gate the trail changes dramatically. At the gate I went right towards skunk hollow which had a couple of nice views. Next time I go early I'll try going left towards Cronan Ranch (it was too hot by noon to be out in the full sun).
