This hike starts in the parking area off of Glenn Ranch Road in Portola Hills. The route includes Dreaded Hill Road for a warmup. Proceed along Water Tank Trail to Four Corners, then to Cactus Hill Trail. Turn left onto Santiago Ranch Road to the Santiago Equestrian Center (I walked through the stables to visit the horses - optional). Proceed toward Santiago Canyon Road, take the roadway to Modjeska Grade Road. Proceed to the trail head of Santiago Truck Trail, follow that trail to the trail head of The Luge. Proceed along The Luge trail (aka Vulture Crags Trail - be aware of fast moving mountain bikers) to Live Oak Canyon Road. Walk down the road to Cook's Corner then proceed to the Aliso Creek Bikeway. Proceed to Glenn Ranch Road, take that road back to the parking area where the hike began.
