Great views, parts felt like an enchanted forest. Plenty of resting areas both natural and manmade.

Well-maintained, easy trail. Friendly & helpful general store employees have info about the area, things to watch for along trail.

This delightful hike visits 4 CCC-built shelters and features spectacular views in all directions. Virtually no elevation gain makes for an easy hike. Several segments are right at the edge of the bluffline, so caution is advised. Portions of the trail can be wet after a rain (as was the case on our recent visit). The Rim Trail connects with the Ozark Highlands Trail (trailhead w/ parking near Cabin C) and with the Shores Lake Loop Trail. The White Rock Mountain Recreation Area features 3 historic cabins and a group lodge, as well as a campground. White Rock Mountain is a special place to visit for a day hike or an overnight stay!

Family friendly; beautiful views all around the rim; didn't see a sunrise or sunset but they would be unobstructed; somewhat "heavy" foot traffic; multiple shelters on the trail; poles not required but helpful in spots; well- worn path; highly recommended for fall foliage

Nice hike but unable to complete. Parts of the trail became very heavy cover so decided to double back. Maybe better during fall/winter.

Best 2 mile hike of my life. 360 degrees of
vistas of the Boston Mountains that are breathtaking. Not a good trail to take with kids or dogs due to the many cliffs. At least 6 miles of gravel road to the top so bring a car that can handle rougher terrains. Great camping spots and 3 cabins available. All in all a spectacular place.

Got a cabin for the night the trail was a nice walk before bed. cabin had full kitchen/bath/electric. People super friendly and great. It's a bit of a drive on dirt roads up there which make it quiet and peaceful wish I could spend the week and do the longer trails.

This was a beautiful rim trail. We were the only ones on the trail the day we hiked it. It's not long or hard,....it's beautiful with vistas along most of the trail. Lots of gravel/dirt roads to get to the THD but worth the effort!

Great for beginning trail runners, if you can keep focused on the trail and not stop to admire the gorgeous skyline.

This hike was worth the drive down from Kansas City. The trail is very well maintained and the view, the entire hike around the rim is spectacular. Depending on which way you drive up, all wheel or 4 wheel drive is preferable.

Awesome easy trail. One of those trails that offers a ton to see for an easy short hike. However, be careful with small children bc there are several places that you are really close to cliff edges. Follow the signs driving up. We took Google maps and it sent us up an old atv trail to get to the top. Not good! Views are awesome, make sure you go on a clear day. Fog or clouds will sit on the mountain top killing any views.

We stayed at one of the hike in campsites. Campsites have a fire ring, and spigots with potable water are available. It can get pretty busy on the weekend, so make sure to make a reservation or get there early enough to get a spot.

This has been one of my favorite hikes in Arkansas so far. The views are spectacular on all sides, and it's very accessible. There is plenty of parking at the top, and the road up is pretty much your standard gravel road. Part of the drive is out of cellular service, but directional signs have been greatly improved in the past few years.
