Nice well maintained loop. Your in the trees the whole time so there are no overlooks. We saw five deer near Oak Trail.

We started on West Mountain trail to Mountain Top Trail to Oak Trail to Canyon Trail. We traveled 3.8 miles through wooded forest. Really a relaxing easy hike. We saw several ground squirrels and 6 deer. Very nice!

Fun trail mostly along ridge line with some up then downhill near the point. Didn’t seen and down trees so that may have been cleared. Wide and easy trail. Few families with kids midweek otherwise had the trail to ourselves. Lots of shade but also traffic noise from road to observation area at the top.

Summit Trail day hike (.9 miles each way there and back) is well traveled, steep but not too difficult. We went on an extremely hot day, which made it only moderately difficult. Views of the town of Piney and ridge lines to the North are obstructed but can be found. Enjoyable hike.

Good trail. Not busy. I recommend hiking it counter clockwise for an easier hike. We caught the trail from behind the pizza shop. Spray for ticks before hitting the trail.

Great trail to hit while you're in Hot Springs National Park. About a 2 mile loop with lots of shade and moderate elavation. You're probably going to run into some deer if the foot traffic is light. Enjoy it!

We chose to start this trail in the parking lot at the scenic overlook. We took west mountain trail to the switchback end of sunset trail and then back to the parking lot via west mountain on the other side. For those who are not in great shape, this will be pretty challenging on all of the inclines. It was doable but not comfortable. The trail was nice with decent grading (some rocky areas in the dirt trail). It was shaded 90% of the time by trees. No stairs and a few benches along the way. Bring water because there are no fountains on the trail or at the top. We will come back once we are a little more accustomed to hiking - it shouldn’t take long to get there!

Nice easy trail. Wish I had my running gear as I think it would be perfect for that. Good combo of up and down hill - nicely groomed

A National Park in the middle of the city! You can take the super steep Canyon Trail into the park or park at the over look and start trail in the middle. Well-marked, beautiful and glimpses of wild life! Visit the Visitors center on Bathhouse Row to get your maps and stamp you NPS Passport!

Great trail. East side of trail has one long steep incline, and a sharp but short, steep incline...just take your time and stop if needed. Levels off at the top and lots of rocks to sit on and catch your breath. West side of trail has 3 steep but short switch backs. Took us an hour to the trail. Nice views at trailhead and not very busy.

We hiked this late December after a very rainy storm last night. Trail was perfect for a morning hike—nice length with a slight elevation challenge to wake us up. It was very foggy so no good views. We did the short sunset trail overlook shoot off but too foggy to see. We liked being in nature and getting exercise.
