Go during late fall, winter or early spring to avoid the biting bugs, snakes and poison ivy. On top of stacked rock you will find one grave from an early settler. Also the top of stacked rock was once a farm.

The primitive trail and bushwhack to the top of the mountain was scenic with interesting rock formations and views of the area. It is a scramble to the top when you get about 2/3 around the mountain if you hike counter clock wise which I reccomend. You see the best stuff and it is a easier hike out.
