This is a relatively new addition to the Lake Sequoyah trails. The trail is level, and well-traveled by both people and horses - watch where you step! The trail is marked with red blazes, though a bit ambivalently. It's not possible to get lost here, so just go with the flow. You'll follow the shoreline of the lake nearly the entire time. The trail features an old bridge from which one can fish (with proper permits), cascades in the spillway area, and marvelous views of the lake. The Shoreline trail connects to the Spillway and Island trails.

good easy trail. short and a little confusing at the turn around, I couldn't figure out a clear trail to follow but it was a beautiful day and I ran both trails on that side of the lake.

I really like the flood plain portion of the trail. The forest and bamboo look spooky. However, I'm not keen on trails that run right next to roads, which is what half the trail does. Good shape though. Lake Sequoyah has come a long way.

This was a great hike for my little ones and I! Beautiful views! We went in spring time when the grass was short (probably would be more difficult during summer when grass is tall). Big parking lot, pier, trails and waterfall!

Nice trail with nice view of the lake. Some portions of the path were difficult to go through or not clearly marked.

An easy trail with great lake views. It gets a little confusing north of the spillway, but it's not too bad. There's a horse farm nearby and they clearly use the trail, though they don't abuse it. Via horse might be the best way to access the Island and Spillway trails. Both require crossing the spillway, and it was too high when we visited, though water levels are still pretty low state-wide. The spillway area is quite pretty. If you're in the area, this and the Rookery trail would make for a nice, easy outing.
